Since plays were meant to be watched, I'd say that the movie counts, as long as it's well done. Besides, it can be hard to find a good live performance of a play which is worth seeing!
And I love love "Much Ado About Nothing". Did you watch Kenneth Branaugh's version? (that's my favorite, judiciously skipping a few unnecessary scenes.) He did an excellent job on "Henry V" as well - it's a war movie with swords and such, so it is gory, but the acting is great!
